From a young age, photography became more than just a passion—it became my lifeline. For years, agoraphobia cast a shadow over my life, keeping me from experiencing the ordinary. Through the lens, I found my way back. Street photography became my therapy, each click of the shutter a step toward reclaiming my freedom.
As a Montreal-based street photographer, I’ve taken that journey to its next chapter. Over the past year, I’ve been working closely with the Old Mission Brewery, not only behind the camera but also as a volunteer in the kitchen, alongside staff and residents. My work focuses on creating intimate portraits of individuals experiencing homelessness, while also empowering them to share their own stories. I provide disposable cameras, giving participants the chance to document life from their own perspective—raw, unfiltered, and deeply human.
The resulting images will form a photo book, with all proceeds donated to the Old Mission Brewery to directly support those in need. This project is both a creative collaboration and a platform to raise awareness, shining light on voices too often unheard. Together, we can celebrate resilience, challenge perceptions, and show the world the strength and dignity within every story
